Kangana Ranaut might be slaying the saree game in Parliament, but off-camera, the actress-turned-MP is having some serious second thoughts. Juggling movies and ministerial duties is no joke, and it looks like Kangana’s not exactly living her best political life. From panchayat-level headaches to viral video clapbacks, here’s everything that’s got her questioning this whole sarkari journey.
Kangana Ranaut still figuring out her political career?
Turns out, politics isn’t quite the blockbuster Kangana hoped for. The Mandi MP recently revealed in a candid chat with spiritual guru Atman in Ravi (AIR), admitting she hasn’t warmed up to her new gig. She confessed, “I’m getting a hang of it. I wouldn’t say that I am enjoying it. It’s a very different kind of work, more like social service. This hasn’t been my background. I’ve fought for women’s rights, but that’s different…”
Apparently, Kangana’s now the go-to for broken drains, bad roads, and budget problems.“Somebody’s naali is broken, and I’m like, ‘But I am an MP and these people are coming to me with panchayat-level problems’. They don’t care. When they see you, they come to you with problems like broken roads, and I tell them that’s a state government issue, and they say, ‘You have money, you use your own money’,” she shared.
Will Kangana ever run for the prime minister’s position?
Dreaming of Kangana as PM? She’s shutting that down faster than a Tejas screening. She admitted, “I don’t think I’m competent to be the PM of India, nor do I have the necessary passion or inclination. Social work has never been my background. I’ve lived a very selfish kind of life. I want to have a big house, a big car, I want to have diamonds. I want to look good. That’s the kind of life I’ve lived. This is a kind of genesis for me. I don’t know what purpose God chose me for, but I don’t see my life as this grand sacrifice… And, I don’t fancy that kind of life, and I don’t wish that upon anyone… I don’t have it in me.”
Just when you thought her week couldn’t get more chaotic, a video surfaced online showing Kangana being grilled by her own constituents. Locals in Mandi weren’t holding back, accusing her of only showing up for photo ops. One user called it “a massive embarrassment.” The internet? Not kind.
While Kangana’s political life may be meh, her film career isn’t exactly red hot either. Her ambitious project Emergency, where she played Indira Gandhi, barely scraped in ?20 crore, despite all the buzz.
Can She Reclaim Her Crown?
Whether it’s a bad script or bad PR, Kangana’s currently caught in a storm of criticism both in cinema and the corridors of power. But if there’s one thing she’s always been, it’s unpredictable. Will she bounce back, reinvent herself, or take a graceful exit from this political plot twist? Time will tell.
