Kangana Ranaut Offers Karan Johar a Role in Her Film, Promises “No Saas-Bahu Chuglibaazi”

Bollywood’s finest Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar are back in the headlines, and this time, Kangana’s throwing out a film offer. The actress, known for her highly opinionated statements, says she’s ready to cast KJo in one of her movies. But, here’s the condition.

Kangana Ranaut offers A Role To Karan Johar

Appearing on Indian Idol 15, Kangana was her candid self. When asked if she’d ever work with Karan’s Dharma Productions, she flipped the script. “I’m sorry to say, but Karan sir ko mere saath movie karna chahiye (should do a movie with me),” she quipped. Because Kangana never does things halfway, she added, “I’ll give him a very good role and I’ll make a very good film, which will not be saas-bahu ki chuglibaazi and which will not be just, you know, PR exercise. It will be a proper film and he’ll get a proper role.”

Throwback to the “Nepotism” Debate

This Kangana-Karan matter didn’t start yesterday. Back in 2017, on Koffee with Karan, Kangana famously crowned KJo the “flag-bearer of nepotism” on national television. No one’s ever looked at Rapid Fire rounds the same way again. Since then, the duo has been at loggerheads, with Kangana frequently calling Karan out for everything from favouring star kids to allegedly meddling in other actors’ careers.

It’s no secret that Kangana has thrown some serious shade at KJo over the years. From claiming he sabotaged Anushka Sharma’s career to accusing him of pushing Priyanka Chopra out of Bollywood, she’s aired it all. Most controversially, she’s even linked him to the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Controversies that Surrounded Kangana’s upcoming Film Emergency

While Kangana’s verbal sparring with Karan grabs headlines, she’s also gearing up for the release of her ambitious political drama Emergency. Set to hit theaters on January 17, Kangana stars as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, which she’s also directed, has faced its share of hurdles, from censor board delays to backlash from Sikh organizations.
