There’s no stopping Kajol! She’s been stealing hearts since the ’90s and still reigns supreme in Bollywood, proving why she’s the queen of versatility. But guess what? Even the timeless diva has her share of online haters, and she’s finally spilling the tea on how she handles those pesky trolls.
kajol opens up abut social media trolling
During a recent chat at the Expresso session, Kajol got candid about her experiences with social media negativity. She admitted that she’s thankful she didn’t grow up in the era of constant scrolling and trolling, having joined the social media bandwagon only six years ago. “You might see me on the red carpet, but you won’t see the 5 a.m. wake-up call, the exhausting day that ends at 11:30 p.m. And the fact that I’m back to work the very next morning,” she said. “What you see online is just a pretty snapshot. She revealed “The reality is that we work as hard as anyone else, and have our ups and downs. Yet we’re often only seen smiling in posts.”
Kajol’s Take on Public Perception
When it comes to public love and the inevitable hate), Kajol has a refreshingly different perspective. She stated, “I have a slightly different way of looking at it: when people love you so much, they also feel they have the right to hate you that much. While I wouldn’t claim that this perspective is right, it’s something we, as public figures, must learn to navigate.”
What’s Next for Kajol?
Kajol is all set to return to our screens in Do Patti, where she’s stepping into the shoes of a tough cop. Starring alongside Kriti Sanon, who’s pulling double duty as producer and playing rival twins, this thriller promises all the drama we crave. Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti is coming straight to Netflix on October 25.
