One of Bollywood’s finest directors, Imtiaz Ali, who gave us a gem of a movie with ‘Jab We Met,’ has finally broken his silence on the possibility of a sequel and reuniting with Kareena Kapoor Khan! As fans eagerly await the next chapter of this iconic romance, Imtiaz has spilled some juicy details that are sure to set hearts racing and tongues wagging!
Jab We Met 2: To Be or Not to Be?
In a recent interview with News 18, the master storyteller teased fans with the prospect of ‘Jab We Met 2,’ but with a sassy twist! When asked about the sequel, Imtiaz quipped, “Why have a sequel to Jab We Met (laughs)? If people want to keep relishing the film, they can keep watching the first one! There has to be a story and a reason to make Jab We Met 2. But let’s see if it happens. Never say never!”
But what about reuniting with the enchanting Kareena Kapoor Khan? Imtiaz spilled the tea, revealing the secret behind their on-screen chemistry and why they haven’t teamed up again. He spilled, “Whenever you work with an actor, there’s also a responsibility to not do anything just for the sake of it. The idea is to reunite only when there’s a better or a completely different project compared to what you’ve done before.
He continued, “Kareena and I are so fond of working with each other but we’ve never had the chance to work again till date because there was nothing different and unique enough or better than what we’ve done before. We don’t want to dull the memory of Jab We Met. If you’ve had a great experience working with an actor, the next experience should also be good, otherwise there’s no point. I look at it that way.”
