The wait is finally over! The chocolate boy of the 2010s, Imran Khan, is officially returning to our screens. Reportedly, he is making his comeback to Bollywood with Bhumi Pednekar. Bollywood is finally giving us a fresh and never-seen-before pairing. We are ready to be served a rom-com with a side of nostalgia.

According to the latest buzz, the much-awaited project is all set to go on floors in April. The film, backed by Netflix, is currently in its pre-production phase, and everything is falling into place at lightning speed. “The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The pre-production work is on in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month,” a source revealed to HT City, adding that Bhumi has officially signed the dotted line as the leading lady.
The script is reportedly penned by Danish Aslam, who is also set to co-produce the project alongside Imran and another industry insider. Initially, the film was pitched to a major streaming platform with just an idea and they loved it! Now, with everything locked and loaded, all that’s left is to hit the record button and bring the magic to life.
“They took the project to a streaming platform, who prima facie based on the pitch level, gave it a thumbs up since there was no full screenplay. No agreement has been signed yet, that’s only done when the screenplay is approved,” another source had told.
