Global Village Season 30 closing date revealed

Dubai’s much-loved cultural destination will wrap up this season in May, giving residents and visitors a few more months to plan a visit.

Dubai residents now have clarity on how long they can enjoy one of the city’s most popular winter attractions. Global Village has officially announced that Season 30 will close on May 10, 2026.

The open-air destination, known for bringing cultures, cuisines and entertainment from around the world together in one place, will shut for the summer after that date. It is expected to reopen later in the year for Season 31, following its usual winter schedule.

For now, though, there is still plenty of time to plan a visit — or even squeeze in more than one.

Global Village still draws crowds every winter

For many Dubai residents, Global Village is more than a tourist spot. It’s a winter ritual.

As soon as the weather cools, evening plans shift outdoors. Global Village becomes the kind of place where families wander after dinner, friends meet up for casual strolls, and visitors get a quick taste of how multicultural Dubai really is.

With over 90 cultures represented, the attraction blends shopping, street food, live entertainment and carnival rides in one sprawling space. You can snack your way across continents, catch cultural performances, and still be home before midnight.

It’s also one of the few places in the city that genuinely works for all ages — toddlers, teens, parents and grandparents included.

What’s still coming before Season 30 ends?

With the closing date now confirmed, visitors still have several months to experience what Season 30 has to offer.

Food that keeps people coming back

If there’s one thing Global Village does exceptionally well, it’s food.

From Asian street snacks and Turkish desserts to Middle Eastern grills and viral sweets, the food stalls are a major draw. Many residents don’t even aim to “see everything” — they come specifically to eat.

January onwards usually brings peak food buzz. Limited-time stalls, social-media-famous dishes and seasonal favourites all compete for attention. It’s no surprise that Global Village often features in conversations around Dubai’s food and lifestyle scene during winter.

Live shows and performances

Entertainment is another big reason people stay longer than planned.

Across multiple stages, visitors can catch cultural dances, musical performances and large-scale shows that change through the season. The main stage productions, in particular, tend to fill up quickly on weekends.

Shows are included in the entry ticket, making it easy to plan an evening without constantly checking your wallet — something Dubai residents appreciate.

Carnaval rides and family-friendly attractions

For families, Carnaval remains a highlight.

The zone offers rides for all ages, from gentle options for younger kids to thrill rides for adrenaline seekers. As the season moves closer to its end, queues tend to get longer, especially during school breaks.

Many regular visitors prefer weekday evenings, when the pace is calmer and the crowds are easier to manage.

January is one of the best months to go

Global Village

January is often considered the sweet spot for visiting Global Village.

The weather is cool but comfortable. The full range of attractions is running. And the atmosphere feels lively without being overwhelming — especially on weekdays.

Tourists visiting Dubai during peak season add to the buzz, making the park feel energetic and festive. For residents, January is also the time many people finally get around to visiting after the December rush.

If Global Village has been on your “later” list, January is usually when “later” turns into “now”.

Not just Global Village: January is packed across the UAE

While Global Village is a major winter highlight, it’s far from the only option this time of year.

January in the UAE is filled with concerts, pop-up events, food festivals and outdoor experiences. From live performances featuring regional and international artists to city-wide food activations, weekends fill up quickly.

For many residents, planning becomes a balance between time and budget. A Global Village visit often gets paired with other outings, turning January into one of the busiest months for things to do in Dubai.

How long do you really have before it closes?

With the May 10, 2026 closing date confirmed, visitors have just over four months left.

Historically, the final weeks of Global Village are some of the busiest. Many residents rush in for a last visit before summer, while tourists try to fit it into their itineraries before heading home.

If you prefer quieter visits, earlier months are your best bet. If you enjoy the buzz, colour and packed walkways, the closing weeks deliver that classic end-of-season energy.

What happens after May?

Once Season 30 wraps up, Global Village will close for the hotter months, as it does every year. Behind the scenes, preparations for Season 31 will begin, with refreshed pavilions, new food concepts and updated entertainment expected when it returns.

For now, the focus remains on making the most of the current season.

The Global Village Season 30 closing date is now official, and the countdown has begun.

From global food and live shows to rides and cultural displays, Global Village continues to reflect the city’s diverse spirit — all in one evening.
