Dubai accelerates AI adoption in government services

Second cycle of the Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator invites innovators to pilot transformative solutions with over 20 Dubai government entities

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has opened applications for the second cycle of its Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator. The initiative, run in collaboration with Dubai Future Accelerators under the Dubai Future Foundation, offers a rare opportunity for both local and international innovators to co-create AI-driven solutions for the emirate’s public sector.

The programme tackles real challenges across 20+ government entities, driving Dubai’s goal of leading in AI-powered public services.

Programme priorities

The accelerator focuses on four main objectives:

  • Enhancing and personalising existing services to improve user experience.
  • Developing new AI-enabled solutions that address emerging needs.
  • Boosting operational efficiency across public sector processes.
  • Ensuring inclusive access to services for all residents and visitors.

These priorities support Dubai’s AI strategy to embed AI in daily life for citizens and businesses.

Benefits for participating innovators

Companies selected for the programme will take part in an eight-week fully sponsored residency in Dubai, scheduled from 6 October to 28 November 2025. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered, allowing participants to focus entirely on developing and testing their solutions.

During the residency, teams will gain direct access to decision-makers, expert mentors, and government project leads. This hands-on collaboration enables faster product development, ensures solutions meet local requirements, and removes the equity trade-offs often associated with accelerator programmes.

Proven impact from the first cycle

The first cycle of the accelerator attracted 615 companies from 55 countries. These innovators submitted 183 AI use cases, of which 75 have already been piloted in partnership with Dubai government departments. The results demonstrated the potential of AI to improve service efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance accessibility for residents.

Building on this momentum, the second cycle aims to generate even more practical solutions that can be quickly implemented to benefit the public.

dates and application process

Applications for the Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator are open until 28 August 2025. Selected participants will be notified ahead of the residency start date in October.

Applicants submit proposals online, outlining their AI solution, its use in Dubai’s government, and expected impact.

significance for Dubai

By hosting the accelerator, Dubai is strengthening its position as a global destination for innovation. The emirate is not only investing in emerging technologies but also providing a platform for international collaboration that produces tangible benefits for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The emphasis on practical, deployable solutions ensures the accelerator delivers results that align with Dubai’s service excellence goals and the city’s long-term digital strategy.
