This isn’t the news we really wanted to share, but here it is! Expo City’s famous Garden In The Sky is closing down- thankfully for a short period. Dubbed ‘the flying park’, Garden in the Sky is a rotating observation tower that lifts visitors 55 metres above ground for beautiful panoramic views of the city. Earning its name from its luscious green, tree-lined upper deck, the base of the tower beams with light at night, as do rings around the observation cabins, lending the attraction an out-of-this-world glow.
The attraction will be closed from May 25 to 31 for “routine maintenance”. “We look forward to welcoming you again soon for breathtaking views of ?Expo City Dubai,” the destination posted on Twitter.

Besides, this is not the only prominent UAE attraction that has announced closure.
The Palm Fountains, located at The Pointe, is one of the major attractions in Dubai, and recently, the attraction’s closure was announced on social media due to a redevelopment project. However, now, as per the latest updates, The Pointe as a whole is going under major redevelopment. As per the reports, the tenants of The Pointe’s bars and restaurants have been served a 12-month notice in line with the Dubai Land Department laws, rules and regulations.
A Nakheel Spokesperson said, “Nakheel is working closely with our valued tenants throughout this process. As a part of this redevelopment, The Fountain at The Pointe closed on May 15. Nakheel remains committed to ensuring the smoothest transition possible for its tenants during this time.”

The Pointe opened in 2018 and was an entertainment hub offering tons of eateries, bars and the Palm Fountain. Launched in October 2020, Palm Fountain holds a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest dancing fountain. Being the only multicoloured fountain in Dubai, it uses more than 3,000 LED lights to stun visitors by offering a surreal visual spectacle. The colourful water jets shoot 105m high and match the beats of popular Khaleeji, pop, classic and international hits.
