Bollywood is welcoming Esha Deol back to the big screen after 14 years! The actress, who gave us hits like Dhoom, No Entry, and Yuva, is all set to return with Vikram Bhatt’s Tumko Meri Kasam. But while her film is making waves, her personal life has also been under the spotlight.
After parting ways with her husband Bharat Takhtani, Esha has been handling life like a boss, and when it comes to matters of the heart, she had some heartwarming advice from her legendary mother, Hema Malini. In a recent interview, Esha revealed how her mother’s words about love, independence, and self-worth have stayed with her.
Hema Malini’s Advice to Daughter Esha Deol
In a candid chat with The Quint, Esha shared the most precious advice her mother ever gave her – never stop believing in love. Hema Malini, Bollywood’s eternal dream girl, told her daughter that while career and self-care are important, romance is something that should never fade away.
“One more very sweet thing she has told me is we do so many things in life – working, self-care, everything. She said one thing which is very important in life and should never die out is, romance.” She said that is something that just gives you those butterflies in your stomach, it’s that feeling, we all want it. I have that advice in my head but I have not acted upon it yet,” Esha revealed with a smile.
Hema Malini didn’t just stop at love – she also dropped some serious wisdom about financial independence. She always encouraged Esha to have her own identity, no matter what.
“Something that I think that every mother would want to tell their daughters especially, sons… yes, they automatically do it but for daughters, it’s very important is to have your own self-identity, even after marriage. And she always told me you have worked hard and made a name and you have a profession. Even if you have not made a name, you have a profession, that’s your thing. Never stop that. Try and continue working. Always be financially independent irrespective of, even if you are married to a millionaire… but having your own financial independence just makes the woman so different,” Esha shared.
Esha & Bharat’s Split – A New Chapter Begins
For the unversed, Esha and Bharat Takhtani were married for 11 years before they mutually decided to part ways. The former couple shares two beautiful daughters, Radhya and Miraya, and their main focus remains on their well-being. In a joint statement, they said, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”
While Esha’s personal life has been a topic of discussion, she’s all set for a fresh start – both professionally and personally.
Esha’s Big Comeback – ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ Hits Theatres Soon!
Esha Deol is making her much-awaited comeback in Tumko Meri Kasam, alongside Anupam Kher and Adah Sharma. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film is set to hit theatres on March 21.
