Emirates in-flight freebies for kids bring joy to UAE families this summer

Emirates has introduced a new lineup of in-flight freebies for children, just in time for the summer travel rush. With around one million young travellers expected to board Emirates flights over the holidays, the airline is making flying with children more enjoyable than ever.

The new offerings include a variety of age-specific kits packed with themed toys, reusable bags, comfort items and collectables. The launch reinforces Emirates’ commitment to family-friendly service, something that resonates strongly with UAE residents who regularly travel with young children during school breaks.

Tailored travel kits for every age group

The refreshed collection of Emirates kids’ kits has been thoughtfully designed for three different age groups to meet their unique needs while keeping them engaged during the journey.

For infants (0–2 years)

Parents travelling with babies will receive a practical yet adorable kit that includes a reusable changing mat, soft cleansing wipes, organic baby cream, a bib, spoon-teether, and a gentle vibrating plush toy that can attach to a stroller or seat. A cosy blanket featuring Emirates’ cabin crew characters adds to the comfort.

For toddlers and young kids (3–6 years)

Children in this age range will receive themed backpacks or crossbody bags, each inspired by categories like football, literature, or tennis. Inside the kits are boredom-busting items like puzzles, colouring books, world maps, and stickers, as well as a character card included with Emirates’ Fly With Me in-flight magazine.

For older children (7–12 years)

Young flyers will enjoy lifestyle-themed bags such as a Big City crossbody, Training Day duffle, or explorer-style backpack. These kits combine style with utility, offering a sense of independence while travelling.

Beyond the freebies: Emirates enhances the full family flying experience

The airline has gone beyond toys and bags by creating a more immersive family travel environment. Onboard entertainment for kids is tailored through Emirates’ ICE system, which features dedicated children’s TV channels, educational shows and age-appropriate films.

In addition, Emirates cabin crew will now offer instant Polaroid-style photos as keepsakes, presented in a limited-edition frame, allowing families to carry a tangible memory of their flight. The airline continues to provide bassinet seats, baby meals, and essentials such as baby food, bottles, and organic formula upon request.

Children’s meals have also been thoughtfully curated with kid-friendly favourites such as pasta, nuggets, sandwiches and fruit, served on brightly coloured trays to make mealtime more engaging.

Sustainability meets travel fun

What makes these kits even more special is the airline’s commitment to eco-conscious travel. Many of the new items have been made using recycled materials, including the bags, plush toys, and blankets. This initiative is in line with the UAE’s broader goals of promoting sustainable practices, particularly among the younger generation.

A nod to Emirates’ growing kids’ merchandise line

Alongside the complimentary kits onboard, Emirates has expanded its Little Travellers merchandise collection, now available for purchase. Families can buy matching travel items including lunch bags, water bottles, t-shirts, pencil cases, and even replica pilot or cabin crew uniforms for children aged one to ten.

Dubai is a global travel hub, and families in the UAE often take to the skies during the summer break. Whether it’s a holiday in Europe, a visit to family abroad, or a short-haul trip within the GCC, having thoughtful amenities for children can make all the difference in reducing travel stress. Emirates’ latest launch makes it easier for parents to keep children entertained and comfortable, reaffirming its reputation as one of the most family-friendly airlines in the world.
