Travellers from the UAE will soon find it easier to reach Spain, as Emirates is introducing a third daily flight from Dubai to Barcelona beginning 26 October 2025. This expansion brings the total number of flights on this route to 21 per week, offering greater flexibility for both leisure and business travellers.
A boost for business and leisure travellers
Barcelona has remained a popular destination for UAE residents, known for its rich culture, coastal charm and architectural marvels. Whether it’s a weekend escape or a midweek meeting, this added frequency gives passengers more choice when planning their journeys.
With three different departure times from Dubai International Airport (DXB) — at 3:45am, 8:15am, and 2:00pm — passengers can select a flight that suits their schedule. On the return leg, flights depart from El Prat Airport (BCN) at 3:10pm, 3:30pm, and 8:25pm, ensuring arrival in Dubai across a range of convenient times.
Timed perfectly for the autumn travel season
The timing of this route expansion coincides with the high-demand autumn travel period, as many UAE residents plan European getaways to make the most of milder weather abroad.
Barcelona, with its beaches, cuisine and iconic landmarks like La Sagrada Família and Park Güell, remains one of Europe’s top picks. Emirates’ enhanced schedule caters to this rising demand while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a key global travel hub.
Seamless travel with new Uber partnership
In addition to increasing flight frequencies, Emirates is introducing a new partnership with Uber to improve door-to-door connectivity. Frequent flyers can look forward to earning Skywards Miles on Uber rides in select cities and redeeming Uber ride vouchers when booking Emirates flights. This move complements the airline’s wider strategy to create a seamless journey experience from home to airport and beyond.
UAE travellers’ benefits
This development is particularly beneficial for:
- Business travellers who require early-morning or midday connections.
- Leisure travellers looking for flexible return options after exploring Europe.
- Skywards members eager to earn more rewards both on the ground and in the air.
With travel resuming its pre-pandemic momentum, Emirates continues to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of its customer base in the UAE and beyond.
