Dubai is gearing up for Eid Al Adha 2025, and as always, the city’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is stepping in to ease mobility for residents and visitors alike. The RTA has introduced free parking and adjusted transport schedules for smooth holiday commuting.
Free Parking Across Dubai Over the Holiday
One of the most welcomed updates this season is the announcement of free public parking. From Thursday, 5 June to Sunday, 8 June 2025, all public parking zones across Dubai will be free of charge. This includes roadside and general public parking areas.
However, it’s worth noting that this exemption does not apply to multi-level parking terminals, which will continue to operate as per regular paid tariffs. The move is aimed at making it easier for residents to attend family gatherings, visit Eid prayer grounds, or simply enjoy citywide festivities without worrying about parking fees.
Dubai Metro and Tram to Operate Longer Hours
To accommodate the expected spike in commuter traffic during Eid, Dubai Metro and Tram will follow extended service hours.
Metro Timings:
All stations on both the Red and Green Lines will operate daily from Wednesday, 4 June until Saturday, 7 June 2025, from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM the next day. These hours ensure residents and visitors have more flexibility during Eid gatherings, shopping trips, and leisure activities.
Tram Timings:
The Dubai Tram will operate from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM, ensuring seamless connectivity in Marina, JBR, and Al Sufouh.
Intercity Bus Adjustments During Eid Al Adha
There will be temporary changes to some intercity bus services. Notably, Route E100 from Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi will be suspended throughout the Eid holiday period. To facilitate alternative travel, Route E101 between Ibn Battuta Bus Station and Abu Dhabi will continue to operate.
A newly introduced service, Route E102, will run from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. This direct connection bypasses stops at Ibn Battuta and Musaffah, helping streamline travel for those heading to the capital during Eid.
Dubai Bus Timings and Travel Guidance
Regular routes will mostly run as scheduled, and passengers should check the S’hail app for updated timings and adjustments. This is particularly helpful during holidays, as bus frequencies and last departure timings may vary across different areas.
Customer Happiness Centres and Service Locations
All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed for the duration of the Eid break. That said, residents can still access services via the Smart Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, and RTA’s Head Office, which will remain operational 24/7 through self-service systems.
Vehicle inspection centres and service providers will pause operations from 5 to 7 June. Select technical testing centres—such as those in Al-Tawar, Al-Awir, Al-Mankhool, Al Yalayis, and Muhaisnah—will resume inspections on Sunday, 8 June. All centres will fully restart services by Monday, 9 June.
As Eid approaches, residents should plan ahead, avoid peak hours, and use smart mobility apps for easy travel across Dubai.
