Starting April 4, 2025, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will implement a Variable Parking Tariff Policy. This initiative aims to optimize parking space utilization and manage traffic flow more effectively across the city. ?
Understanding the Variable Parking Tariff Policy

Special Event Parking Rates
During major events, such as exhibitions at the Dubai World Trade Centre, a special tariff of AED 25 per hour will be enforced from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM in designated areas to manage increased vehicle volumes.
Implications for Dubai Drivers
The introduction of variable parking fees encourages drivers to plan their parking strategies, potentially opting for off-peak hours or alternative transportation methods to reduce costs. This policy aligns with Dubai’s broader efforts to enhance urban mobility and reduce congestion.
Tips for Navigating the New Parking System
- Plan Ahead: Be aware of peak and off-peak times to choose the most cost-effective parking options.
- Explore Alternatives: Consider using public transportation or carpooling during peak hours to minimize parking expenses.
- Stay Informed: Regularly check for updates from the RTA and Parkin regarding any changes to parking policies or rates.
