In celebration of UAE National Day 2024, Dubai has unveiled an exciting lineup of events for an entire month, showcasing the rich Emirati heritage and the vibrant spirit of the United Arab Emirates. Under the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, which pays homage to the UAE’s founding leaders, the city will come alive with fireworks, concerts, cultural performances, and more, inviting residents and tourists alike to join in honoring the UAE’s 53rd anniversary.
We’ll celebrate the UAE’s history and future with events at iconic landmarks like Expo City and the Dubai Frame.
Dubai’s Landmarks Light Up in National Colors
Dubai’s iconic attractions, including the Museum of the Future and Expo City’s Al Wasl Dome, will shine bright with UAE colors, symbolizing unity and patriotism. We’ll illuminate major parks like Dubai Safari Park and public spaces, adding to the city’s visual transformation and creating a breathtaking nighttime display. Visitors can expect lights at the Deira Clock Tower, Infinity Bridge, and Business Bay Crossing, enhancing the beauty of Dubai’s skyline.
The Dubai Municipality has extended the festivities to green spaces, transforming popular locations with colorful lights, while RTA bridges and electronic screens across the Dubai Metro and Tram will display the #ZayedAndRashid logo, paying tribute to the UAE’s unity.
Explore Emirati Heritage at Dubai’s Museums
For a deeper understanding of Emirati culture, Dubai invites visitors to its celebrated heritage sites like Hatta Heritage Village, Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, and the Al Shindagha Museum. Each of these locations offers an enriching journey into the UAE’s past, showcasing traditional Emirati customs through engaging exhibits and performances.
At Al Shindagha Museum, the country’s largest open-air museum, visitors will encounter interactive performances, historical reenactments, and displays highlighting life in old Dubai. This unique experience lets attendees immerse themselves in Emirati culture while learning about the UAE’s foundation and growth.
Celebratory Concerts and Fireworks at Expo City
Expo City’s Al Wasl Dome is set to host public concerts featuring the Firdaus Orchestra, an all-women ensemble recognized for its unique Emirati repertoire. The concerts, free to the public, celebrate Eid Al Etihad and are expected to draw large crowds. The Al Wasl Plaza will also be decorated with UAE flags and traditional Emirati decor, creating a stunning backdrop for these special performances.
On December 2 and 3, enjoy dazzling fireworks at JBR Beach, Al Seef, and Dubai Festival City Mall. Traditional dances, live music, and seasonal markets will celebrate National Day, embracing Emirati heritage.
UAE Flag Garden: A Symbol of Unity and Pride
Located near Burj Al Arab, the UAE Flag Garden returns for its 11th year with rows of flags designed to pay tribute to the nation’s unity. This patriotic display, offering a beautiful photo opportunity against the iconic Burj Al Arab, features patterns that celebrate the founding leaders of the UAE. The Flag Garden serves as a powerful symbol of national pride, inviting visitors to reflect on the UAE’s journey and the leaders who made it possible.
Warm Emirati Welcome at Dubai Airports
Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central will offer a uniquely Emirati welcome to arriving travelers. We’ll greet passengers with traditional Emirati music and festive decorations, reflecting the UAE’s pride and hospitality. These airport arrangements showcase Dubai’s maritime heritage and warmly welcome visitors.
Union Day Parades and Celebrations Across the City
The highlight of National Day celebrations, the Union Day Parade, will take place at City Walk on December 2. The parade, with dances, floats, and performances, celebrates UAE unity.
