Dubai RTA Opens New Driver Training and Licensing Centre in Hatta

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new driver training and licensing centre in Hatta. Developed in partnership with Emirates Driving Institute, the new facility aims to make driver training and licensing more accessible for residents of Hatta and nearby communities. This marks Dubai’s 27th RTA-approved driver licensing centre, reflecting the authority’s commitment to enhancing local services.

Expanded Access to Licensing Services

The new Hatta branch is designed to meet the growing demand for driver training and licensing services in the area. Operating six days a week from 8:15 am to 11:00 pm, the facility provides a convenient option for residents who previously had to travel long distances for similar services.

The centre is open from Sunday to Friday, with a daily break from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. On Fridays, the branch observes a prayer break from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Saturdays are reserved for registration only, running from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Services Offered at the New Hatta Branch

The new centre provides a full range of driver training and licensing services, including:

  • Traffic file opening
  • Theoretical and practical driver training
  • Testing for motorcycles and light vehicles (manual and automatic)
  • Issuance of driving licences

These services streamline the licensing process for residents of Hatta, saving them time and reducing the need to travel to Dubai or other emirates.

Collaboration with Emirates Driving Institute

The RTA has partnered with Emirates Driving Institute to manage the driver training programs at the new Hatta branch. This collaboration brings expertise in driving education, ensuring that learners receive high-quality training that meets RTA standards.

Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, highlighted the importance of the new centre, saying, “The launch of the new branch reflects RTA’s commitment to addressing the needs of local communities by providing convenient access to essential driver licensing services.”

Supporting Local Communities

For many Hatta residents, accessing driver training and licensing services previously meant traveling long distances. This new branch simplifies training and licensing, bringing them closer to home.

The new facility aims to cut wait times, improve service, and boost Hatta’s growth as a connected community.

Aligned with Dubai’s Vision

The launch of the Hatta driver training and licensing centre is part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to enhance public services across Dubai. It aligns with the city’s vision to improve infrastructure and make essential services more accessible to its residents.

By establishing this new branch, RTA is taking a step towards fulfilling its commitment to better service delivery and community development.

The new RTA driver training and licensing centre in Hatta is a welcome addition for residents, offering convenience and cutting down travel time for essential services. The facility, with its comprehensive range of services and partnership with Emirates Driving Institute, actively enhances the driving experience for locals.
