Dubai’s Marine Transport is Back: Enjoy Scenic Rides for Just Dh2!

Good news for residents and tourists, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has relaunched its marine transport services in the beautiful Water Canal and Business Bay areas. After completing improvements, the service is ready to offer an affordable and enjoyable way to travel around the city.

Convenient Travel for Everyone

The revamped marine transport system consists of two main lines, DC2 and DC3, designed to connect key locations and make travel easier for everyone.

The DC2 line runs daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, Monday to Saturday, and from 10 AM to 10 PM on Sundays. It links popular spots like Waterfront, Marasi, Business Bay, Godolphin, and Sheikh Zayed Road. With intervals of 30 to 50 minutes, it’s a great option for those commuting to work or exploring the area’s attractions.

On weekends, the DC3 line operates from 4 PM to 11 PM, connecting Al Jaddaf Station with the Dubai Design District Marine Transport Station. This route is particularly handy for those wanting to access the Creek Metro Station on the Green Line. The service runs every 35 minutes and costs only Dh2 per stop, making it a budget-friendly choice for all.

Supporting Tourism and Local Life

Khalaf Hassan Abdullah Belghuzooz Al Zarooni, Director of Marine Transport at RTA, emphasizes the importance of this initiative. “Our goal is to boost the economy and improve the quality of life by enhancing the waterfront projects,” he says.

The return of these transport lines fits well with Dubai’s vision of being a global city. By improving access to popular waterfront destinations, RTA aims to attract more visitors while making life easier for residents.

A Scenic Experience Awaits

Riding marine transport is more than just getting from one place to another; it’s about enjoying the stunning views of the city. Imagine cruising along the waterways, taking in the skyline and vibrant atmosphere—all for just Dh2!

This service is especially appealing to tourists looking to explore the area. The Waterfront and Dubai Design District are home to numerous attractions, from art galleries to shopping and dining options, making the marine transport an exciting way to see it all.

Eco-Friendly Travel Choices

The marine transport system also supports Dubai’s commitment to sustainability. By encouraging people to travel by water, RTA helps reduce road traffic and its environmental impact. This initiative is in line with global trends toward greener transportation options.

Expanding Connectivity Across Dubai

The RTA’s improvements to marine transport are part of a larger plan to expand the network from 2020 to 2030, ensuring that it meets the changing needs of both locals and visitors. The focus is on making travel not only efficient but also enjoyable.

With more waterfront projects and extended marine lines in the works, residents can look forward to a transportation system that enhances their daily lives while providing a unique experience for those visiting the city.

Get Onboard!

With the marine transport service back in action, it’s time to explore Dubai in a whole new way. The affordable fares, convenient schedules, and beautiful views make it an excellent option for commuting or leisure activities.

Whether you’re a resident looking for an easy way to get to work or a visitor eager to discover Dubai’s highlights, this marine transport system offers something for everyone. So, hop on and enjoy the ride—Dubai’s waterways are waiting for you!
