RTA Dubai Adds Two New Marine Routes from Dubai Creek to Major Attractions

Scenic Rides at Just Dhs2

Dubai is making it easier and more affordable to get around the city with two new marine transport lines. These routes connect Dubai Creek Harbour to some of the city’s biggest attractions, and they’re already a hit with locals and tourists alike.

A Fresh Way to Travel

The new marine lines, introduced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in partnership with Emaar Properties, offer a scenic and budget-friendly way to explore Dubai. Since launching in August 2022, these routes have quickly become popular. The number of monthly passengers has skyrocketed from 3,000 to 30,000 in just two years—a huge 900% increase.

To keep up with this growing demand, the RTA has made improvements to the service. They’ve added more ticket kiosks and extra berths for boats, making the travel experience smoother for everyone. The route from Dubai Creek Harbour to Dubai Festival City now runs on weekend evenings from 4 PM to 11:55 PM. Another route connects Dubai Creek Harbour to Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station and Al Khor Metro Station on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 10:50 AM, and then again from 4 PM to 10:50 PM.

Why These Marine Routes Matter

These new routes do more than just provide a way to get from one place to another. They are a key part of Dubai’s public transport network, helping tourists and residents easily reach major attractions. Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, explains that these lines are a significant success and will likely lead to even more people using marine transport in the future.

“This service has really met the needs of the public,” says Bahrozyan. “We expect it to keep growing as part of our long-term plan for marine transport in Dubai.”

The partnership with Emaar Properties is also important. Ahmed Al Matrooshi, an executive board member of Emaar, highlights how this collaboration improves the city’s infrastructure and enhances the appeal of Emaar’s waterfront developments. “Working together helps make Dubai a better place to live and visit,” Al Matrooshi notes.

Affordable and Scenic Rides

One of the best things about these new marine lines is their affordability. A ride on either of these routes costs just Dhs2, making it one of the cheapest ways to see the city. Whether you’re heading to Dubai Festival City Mall or exploring the waterfront areas, these rides offer a beautiful and cost-effective way to travel.

Enjoy a New Experience

Dubai’s new marine transport lines are more than just a way to get from point A to point B. They offer a unique experience, giving passengers a chance to enjoy the city’s stunning waterfronts while traveling. As these routes continue to grow in popularity, they will become a key part of how people experience Dubai.

If you’re looking for an affordable, scenic way to explore Dubai, these new marine lines are a great option. With tickets priced at just Dhs2, you can enjoy the city’s beautiful views and get to your destination without breaking the bank.
