Dubai Airport Implements Restrictions Amidst Weather-Induced Delays

Access Restricted to Terminal 1: Only confirmed departing passengers are allowed

Dubai Airport has put in place new rules for Terminal 1 due to bad weather, causing disruptions for travelers. Here’s what you need to know.

Dubai Airport: Access Restricted to Terminal 1

If you’re flying out of Dubai Airport’s Terminal 1, you’ll need to have a confirmed departure. They’re limiting access to only passengers with confirmed flights. It’s essential to check with your airline before heading to the airport, as there are no rebooking services available at Terminal 1.

Emirates Suspends Check-in

Emirates, the main airline in Dubai, has stopped check-in services for departing passengers due to the bad weather and challenging road conditions till today 9 am. However, if you’re already in transit or arriving in Dubai, you’ll still be taken care of.

Avoid Unnecessary Trips

Dubai Airport authorities are urging people to avoid unnecessary trips to the airport as recovery from the weather will take some time. Flooding and road blockages have made it hard for passengers to get to the airport and for those arriving to leave.

Partial Operations Resumed

Despite the challenges, flydubai has started partial operations from Terminal 2. They’re gradually getting back to normal, with Terminal 3 expected to resume flights later in the day.

Passengers are advised to keep in touch with their airlines for the latest updates on their flights. It’s a fluid situation, and things could change quickly.

Dubai Airport is working hard to deal with the disruptions caused by the bad weather. They’re prioritizing passenger safety and trying to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
