Boney Kapoor is finally revving up for the much-awaited sequel No Entry 2. The original comedy stormed into theatres back in 2005, and now, after decades of fans begging for a comeback, it’s happening! With Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh initially locked in, fans were buzzing, until the big twist. Looks like Diljit paaji hit the “exit” door before the entry could even happen.
Diljit Dosanjh Says Bye-Bye To No Entry 2
The Punjabi superstar had given us major hints – remember when Boney Kapoor visited him on the Border 2 sets? Fans thought it was sealed. But now, Boney has confirmed that Diljit’s busy calendar (Aura Tour in Australia and New Zealand from October 26 to November 13) clashed with the film’s schedule. Kapoor revealed to NDTV, “Yes, we have parted in good spirits as the dates were not aligning with our requirements. Hopefully, we will soon do a Punjabi film together.”
OG Trio Missing, But Fresh Faces Ready To Roll
If you were hoping to see Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan recreate their laugh riot magic, sorry to burst your bubble. Boney Kapoor himself admitted, “Yeh humara loss hai.” After waiting nearly a decade, the dream reunion slipped away.
He shared, “We waited for almost 8 to 10 years, but somehow things didn’t happen. We will miss them. And now we are trying to give a fresh start with a younger lot of actors. But at the same time, we will miss Salman, we will miss Anil and Fardeen. They were the original three boys in No Entry. And they were most loved.”
But don’t lose hope, the younger squad promises some fresh masala. Along with Arjun and Varun, reports suggest leading ladies include Shraddha Kapoor (bubbly queen), Kriti Sanon (Bollywood’s golden girl), and Manushi Chhillar (beauty with brains).
A Flashback To No Entry (2005)
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the OG No Entry was a full-blown laughter bomb starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitly. Released on August 26, 2005, it was Bollywood’s biggest comedy hit of that year and still rules meme pages! Now, as the film hits its 20th anniversary milestone, Boney and Bazmee are promising a quirky, glossier, and zanier reboot with No Entry 2.
