Bollywood is all set to tug at your heartstrings with another love story ‘Dhadak 2’ that promises to be as raw as it is tragic. This time, the spotlight is on the sensational duo Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

Karan Johar, the man with the Midas touch, took to social media earlier today to drop the bombshell announcement of Dharma Productions’ latest venture, Dhadak 2. After the sweeping success of the first installment featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, get ready for a fresh, fiery pairing that’s bound to leave an impact.

Siddhant and Triptii, with their undeniable chemistry and gripping performances, are ready to deliver a story that’s as real as it gets. If you’re a fan of haunting melodies and tales of tragic love, Dhadak 2 is going to be right up your alley.

The announcement, accompanied by a powerful poster, has already set social media abuzz. Karan Johar’s Instagram post hinted at the compelling narrative with the lines, “?? ????? ?? ????? ??? ??????? ?? ?? ????, ?? ?? ???? – ??? ??? ??…???? ????? (This story is a bit different because there was a king and there was a queen – their castes were different…end of story).” The film promises a tale of a king and queen from different castes, setting the stage for a story that’s as thought-provoking as it is heart-wrenching.

About Dhadak 2

In the video, Siddhant’s character Neelesh says that he has no spot in the dreams she seeks. In contrast, Vidhisha asks him how to stop loving him. The poster also shows that ‘Dalit Lives Matter’. It also comes with a tagline saying, “When justice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.”

For Siddhant, this marks his second outing with Dharma after Gehraiyaan, and for Triptii, it’s another chance to shine under Karan Johar’s banner following Bad Newz. Add to that the collaboration between Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, who previously teamed up for Dhadak, and you’ve got a recipe for success.

Helming this project is Shazia Iqbal, whose short story in Love Storiyaan garnered rave reviews. Making her theatrical debut, Shazia is all set to tackle the poignant theme of casteism in India, proving once again that love knows no boundaries.

With Dhadak 2 set to hit theaters on November 22, 2024.
