CTRL Trailer: AI Goes Rogue, Ananya Panday’s Life Takes a Horrific Turn in This Chilling Thriller

Ananya Panday is on a roll, and there’s no stopping her! After charming us in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Call Me Bae, she’s now ready to set the OTT space on fire with something darker, edgier, and seriously intense. Enter: CTRL, a spine-chilling crime thriller that explores the oh-so-creepy side of AI. We all knew AI could be a little shady, but this? Next level!

Earlier today, Netflix gave us a first look at CTRL with a trailer that had us on the edge of our seats. And yes, in case you were wondering, Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat are back as lovebirds! After starring as a problematic couple together in Call Me Bae, they’re now playing each other’s love interests in CTRL. But this time, things get a whole lot messier.

our Tech Nightmare Unfolds

In CTRL, Ananya plays Nella, a young woman who’s just gone through a brutal breakup. To ease her pain, she turns to a mysterious AI platform called CTRL, designed to make her life easier, or so it seems. The trailer shows Nella spiraling as she lets this AI assistant take control of her emotions and decisions. At one point, she even tells it to delete her ex-boyfriend from her life! Things quickly take a dark turn, as Nella’s life begins to blur the lines between reality and technology in the creepiest way possible.

The 2-minute, 9-second trailer promises a rollercoaster of a thriller with intense twists and plenty of “what did I just watch” moments. This isn’t your typical love story, this is a deep dive into the unsettling consequences of letting AI rule your world. And trust us, we’re living for it.

CTRL Your Life, ALT Your Memories, DEL the Drama

As Netflix so cleverly put it, “CTRL your life. ALT your memories. DEL the baggage.” The movie is set to drop on October 4, exclusively on Netflix, and you know we’ll be there popcorn in hand!

Talking about his latest film, director Vikramaditya Motwane shared that CTRL is unlike anything he’s done before. Filmed in what he calls a “screen life” format, the story unfolds through the tech we use every single day – smartphones, laptops, you name it. It’s almost like you’re peeking into someone’s digital diary, and it’s both voyeuristic and terrifying!
