Bobby Deol has the sweetest post for his parents, and it’s heartwarming! Just when we thought Bobby was busy being Bollywood’s baddest villain, he switched gears and served us something super soft and full of feels. The Deol boy took to Instagram and melted hearts everywhere with a rare, soul-touching picture of his parents – veteran actor Dharmendra and his first love, Prakash Kaur – celebrating 71 YEARS of togetherness.
Bobby Deol Wishes His Parents Dharmendra & Prakash Kaur On Their Anniversary
Ditching the drama and diving straight into his feels, Bobby captioned the post with a simple yet powerful, “Happy Anniversary Maa and Papa,” followed by a trail of heart emojis that did all the talking. Fans were quick to lose it (in the best way), flooding the comments with awws, hearts, and throwback appreciation. Big brother Sunny Deol also dropped love bombs in the form of red heart emojis. Because when Deols do emotions, they do it desi and deep.
About Dharmendra & Prakash Kaur’s love Story
Long before he was Bollywood’s OG He-Man, Dharmendra tied the knot with Prakash Kaur in 1954, at the tender age of 19. Together, they raised four beautiful kids: Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, and Vijeta, while keeping their love story away from the world of glamour.
Prakash Kaur, the rock of the Deol family, has always kept it low-key and elegant, rarely making public appearances but always holding the family together like the ultimate boss lady.
What About Hema, You Ask?
Now we can’t talk about Dharmendra without mentioning the Dream Girl – Hema Malini. Their on-screen romance in Tum Haseen Main Jawan turned into a real-life saga that had its share of drama. They tied the knot in 1980, despite some major family resistance. The two share daughters Esha and Ahana, and continue to give us timeless photo ops every now and then.
Last year, Hema herself dropped some mushy moments with Dharam ji on their anniversary, reminding everyone that filmi love stories do exist in real life.
What’s next for Dharmendra?
While Dharmendra’s personal life is full of warmth and wisdom, his professional game is far from slowing down. He recently popped up in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and made headlines (and hearts flutter) with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.
The veteran legend is gearing up for Ikkis, Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming project starring none other than Big B’s grandson, Agastya Nanda.
