NCP Leader Baba Siddique, the man who knew how to throw a star-studded bash like no other. He has left us, and the void is real. The politician, who was loved by the who’s who of Bollywood, passed away on October 12 after a shocking attack. This is the same Baba Siddique who made history at his famous Iftaar parties. Remember when he got Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to finally hug it out in 2013? Well, that peacemaker is no more, and the industry’s heart is breaking.
RIP Baba Siddique: Salman Khan Cancels Bigg Boss Shoot, Sanjay Dutt Rushes from the Airport
When the tragic news broke, Bollywood biggies dropped everything to pay their respects. Salman Khan, who was shooting for Bigg Boss 18, didn’t even think twice. He left the set midway and rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai. The Dabangg star was still at the hospital comforting the family.
Sanjay Dutt was spotted arriving straight from the airport, making sure he was there for his friend during this difficult time.
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra Spotted Paying Respects
The who’s who of B-Town wasn’t going to miss the chance to bid farewell to someone who always brought them together. Shilpa Shetty, along with husband Raj Kundra, also showed up at Lilavati Hospital to express their condolences. Baba Siddique wasn’t just a politician, he was the man who connected Bollywood’s brightest under one roof. When it came to his legendary Iftaar parties that were basically the Oscars of Mumbai’s social scene.
The Tragic Incident
The horrifying attack happened near Baba’s son, Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East. The politician suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, and despite being rushed to the hospital, couldn’t pull through. Authorities have already nabbed two suspects, one from Uttar Pradesh and another from Haryana, but the hunt for the third is still on. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde assured that justice will be swift and merciless.
For nearly five decades, Baba Siddique was a name associated with Congress, serving as an MLA and even a minister of state for food and civil supplies, labour, and FDA. He left the Congress fold earlier this year to join Ajit Pawar’s NCP, making waves in political circles.
As we say our goodbyes, let’s remember Baba Siddique not just for his political career, but for being the ultimate Bollywood connector. His legacy will always be a part of the industry, reminding us of the power of friendship, even in the glitzy world of stars.
Team Social Kandura extends heartfelt condolences to the Siddique family. Rest in power, Baba.
