Ministry of Education Unveils Enhanced University Certificates Recognition System

The Ministry of Education has adopted the new system for recognising certificates issued by foreign higher education institutions, after communicating and consulting with all relevant authorities and taking into consideration the observations and suggestions of students on ways to develop the current services we offer.

The Ministry of Education has introduced an upgraded “University Certificates Recognition” system, replacing the previous “University Qualification Equivalency” system. This new provision applies to degrees issued by foreign higher education institutions (HEIs), enabling individuals to pursue further education or seek employment opportunities in the UAE.

With the aim of providing students with increased flexibility in their academic and professional pursuits, the Ministry has streamlined and simplified the recognition process, ensuring efficiency across all services. The updated system is designed to offer students seamless and adaptable services for their educational and employment procedures.

Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, emphasized that the revised system aligns with the UAE’s commitment to maintaining high-quality and credible educational standards while facilitating a smoother recognition process for certificates from foreign HEIs.
