Allu Arjun has already proven he’s the reigning king of Pan-India cinema. But Varun Dhawan is stepping into the arena, teaming up with the mastermind behind Jawan, Atlee! With Baby John dropping on Christmas, it’s shaping up to be a masala-packed face-off against the unstoppable film that is Pushpa 2.
Allu Arjun & Atlee I want Pushpa 2 to do great, I want Baby John to do great.”Don’t CLASH But Just a Friendly Screen Swap!
When asked about Baby John squaring off with Pushpa 2 – currently smashing the box office like it’s nobody’s business, Atlee had a mic-drop moment: “See it is an eco-system. Me and Allu Arjun sir are very good friends. We are coming in (Pushpa’s) the fourth week. Don’t call it a clash. A clash is where we are head-on with the other film. You take my screen, I’ll take yours (laughs). They also know that we’re coming on Christmas, and we were also aware that they shifted from August to December. We are really good friends, and we know how to handle this.”
Atlee, with his signature charm, laughed off the competition, making it clear he’s rooting for both films to slay at the box office. “I want Pushpa 2 to do great, I want Baby John to do great,” he quipped.
When Atlee and Allu Arjun Play Nice
Turns out, this isn’t just professional courtesy – it’s personal. Atlee revealed that Allu Arjun recently gave him a congratulatory call and even chatted with Varun Dhawan. “He congratulated about the film, and spoke to Varun. So I think the eco-system has a great friendship and love.” said Atlee, proving once again why he’s one of the most beloved directors in the game.
Atlee’s Pan-India Dream Team
Atlee isn’t stopping here. After working his magic with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, teaming up with Varun Dhawan for Baby John, and an upcoming project with Salman Khan, he’s made it clear that he’s ready to work with every superstar in the country.
Can Two Blockbusters Co-Exist? We’re Betting Yes!
Pushpa 2 is already dominating screens like a boss, and Baby John is gearing up to be the ultimate Christmas treat. With Atlee calling it an “ecosystem” rather than a clash, this feels less like a rivalry and more like a win-win for fans.
What’s Cooking in ‘Baby John’?
For those wondering what Baby John is all about, let’s spill some tea. It’s a Hindi adaptation of the Tamil blockbuster Theri – so expect a mix of action, emotion, and just the right amount of drama. Directed by Kalees, the film stars Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles, with none other than Salman Khan making a cameo that’s bound to bring the house down.
