According to a juicy report from Mid-Day, Anil Kapoor and producer Sajid Nadiadwala couldn’t see eye to eye on his fee. Despite the lack of any bad blood, they just couldn’t agree on the numbers. The result? Anil decided to bid adieu to the project. This exit has also led to some major script changes, especially concerning Nana Patekar’s role, initially planned to have a dynamic duo vibe similar to their ‘Welcome’ franchise days. Director Tarun Mansukhani is now busy tweaking the script to fit the new scenario, with shooting set to kick off by the end of August.
While the production team has yet to make an official statement about Anil Kapoor’s exit, the film’s release has already been shuffled around. Initially aimed for a Diwali release this year, ‘Housefull 5’ is now set to hit theaters on June 6, 2025. The film also boasts of big names like Arjun Rampal and Dharmendra, adding more star power to the mix.
