“Behencode” queen, Ananya Panday, is officially coming back with Call Me Bae Season 2, and we’re already buzzing! After leaving us on a major cliffhanger, we’ve been begging for more.
Ever since Call Me Bae hit Prime Video on September 6th, it has been nothing short of a cultural moment. From Gen Z to millennials, everyone’s vibing with Ananya’s fashion-forward, loveable, and sometimes hilariously clueless Bae. In fact, the show topped Prime Video’s #1 spot in India. And with all the crazy love pouring in, it’s no surprise that Prime Video just gave us the best news of 2024 – a whole new season to binge!
Call me bae Season 2 in works
Season 1 had everything – drama, laughter, tears, and enough love to melt even the iciest hearts. But let’s be real, the real magic? Bae teaching us how to Seize the Day (and the wardrobe)! The mix of #Behencode, self-identity struggles, and that ever-relatable hunt for belonging struck deep with fans. And don’t even get us started on that killer soundtrack! With songs like “Vekh Sohneya” and “Yara Tere Bin” topping Instagram reels, it’s clear that Call Me Bae has become THE show everyone’s talking about.
But Season 2? Expect more slayage, more epic outfits, and probably a ton more tears (but in a good way).
Bae’s World Took Over In Real life!
Let’s talk about how extra the promo for this show was. Ananya Panday literally strolled through Mumbai airport like the diva she is, toting some larger-than-life baggage (both literal and metaphorical). If that wasn’t iconic enough, Prime Video went full Bae-mode by transforming Mumbai’s WEH metro station into a total Bae-themed paradise! With brand collabs like ONLY, Tresemme, and Amazon Fashion, Bae wasn’t just on-screen – she was everywhere.
KJo Spills the Tea on Season 2
Speaking of Karan Johar, the legendary producer couldn’t keep his excitement in check either. In true KJo style, he shared, We’re genuinely excited to delve deeper into the characters and their stories, and we’re positive that the second season will be more Bae-misaal than before!.” Expect bigger stories, more drama, and all the feels.
He’s not wrong – Season 1 had all of us obsessed with Bae’s world, and we can’t wait to see what chaos (and couture) unfolds next!
Directed by Collin D’Cunha and written by the brilliant Ishita Moitra, who along with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, created the magic behind Call Me Bae, we’re in for another whirlwind season. Ananya Panday leading the charge with supporting stars like Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, and the always-entertaining Varun Sood.
We don’t know about you, but we’re already marking our calendars because Call Me Bae Season 2 is about to become our next obsession!
