Amitabh Bachchan Defends Abhishek Against Nepotism Debate: “Unnecessarily Became Victim”

We all admire the Bachchan men! Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have ruled headlines for decades, but being a star kid isn’t always a walk in the park. There’s a privilege, but there’s also the never-ending scrutiny, the comparisons, and the dreaded ‘nepotism’ tag! Big B himself just addressed it in the most iconic way possible!

Amitabh Bachchan believes son Abhishek Didn’t Deserve the Nepotism Hate!

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan, took to X (formerly Twitter) and set the record straight about his son, Abhishek. While fans poured in appreciation for Ab Jr., Big B didn’t hold back from admitting that his son has been unnecessarily dragged into the nepotism debate. One user praised Abhishek’s filmography, calling him a victim of unfair criticism. Amitabh, the doting dad, responded, “I feel the same… and not just because I am his father.”

A fan dropped the trailer of Abhishek’s upcoming movie Be Happy and showered him with love. Amitabh wasted no time hyping his son up, saying, “Abhishek, you are extraordinary. Your ability to adapt and transform with each character is an incredible art. Love you, Bhaiyu.”

This isn’t the first time Amitabh has spoken up about his son’s talent. When Abhishek’s I Want To Talk hit theaters, Big B took to his blog and penned an emotional note: “Some films invite you to be entertained; some films invite you to BE the film. I Want To Talk does just that. Abhishek, you are not Abhishek; you are ARJUN SEN of the film. Let them say what they may.”

This is truly a proud father moment.

What’s Next for Abhishek & Amitabh?

While Amitabh is busy making waves as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 and lighting up the screen in Vettiyan alongside Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati, Abhishek is gearing up for his next big project. His recent film I Want To Talk made quite the impact, and now he’s ready to take over Amazon Prime Video with Be Happy, dropping on 14 March,
