Rumours about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan calling it quits have been swirling like a Bollywood. Amid all the noise, Junior B has dropped a truth bomb, proving yet again why he’s one of the classiest gents. Not only did he shower love on Aishwarya for being the ultimate supermom, but he also gave us a sneak peek into his take on parenthood. Let’s dive into this heartwarming tale that’s putting those divorce rumours on mute!
“Fortunate and Thankful”: Abhishek Bachchan Gets Real About Aishwarya Rai
In a candid chat with The Hindu, Abhishek didn’t just brush aside the gossip; he crushed it with gratitude. Talking about how Aishwarya holds down the fort while he chases his cinematic dreams, he said, “In my household, I’m fortunate to be able to go out and make movies, but I know Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I am immensely thankful for that.”
And before anyone could label this as traditional, Abhishek clarified that parenting isn’t about grand gestures. “However, children don’t see it that way. They don’t view you as a third party; to them, you’re the primary figure,” he shared, hinting at how important presence is, no matter the role you play.
The OG Supermom: Jaya Bachchan’s Influence
Abhishek also took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, giving props to his mother, Jaya Bachchan, who pressed pause on her illustrious acting career to prioritize her kids. “My mother stopped acting when I was born so she could spend time with us. We never felt our dad’s absence. Ultimately, after a day of work, you come home in the evening,” he recalled.
This balance between his parents is something he admires and aspires to replicate. He said, “Being a parent drives you to do incredible things. You would climb mountains for your child. I have profound respect for mothers and the unique sacrifices they make, which no one else can replicate. Fathers tend to do things quietly because they often struggle to express their feelings, and that’s a flaw men have. As children grow older, they begin to recognize the stability their fathers provide, even if fathers often remain in the background.”
Abhishek didn’t stop at his mom; he also gave Big B a massive shoutout. Sharing fond memories, he revealed, There were weeks when I wouldn’t see my father, even though he slept in the room next to mine. The doors between my sister’s room and the master bedroom were always open. He would return home after we had gone to bed and leave before we woke up. Despite his hectic schedule, I don’t recall him ever missing an annual school event or a basketball final. In the end, he was always there for us.”
That kind of dedication clearly left a mark, as Abhishek is now channeling the same commitment into raising Aaradhya.
Abhishek Bachchan’s Work Front
While clearing the air about his personal life, Abhishek is also making waves on the professional front. His latest film, I Want to Talk, which hit theatres on November 22, is earning applause for its heartfelt portrayal of a father navigating life’s final chapter with his daughter.
