The Academy’s official Instagram page gave a shout-out to her mesmerizing performance in the song “Ghar More Pardesiya” from the 2019 period drama, Kalank.

The Academy, known for celebrating cinematic excellence worldwide, couldn’t help but highlight the breathtaking performance by Alia in Abhishek Varman’s directorial masterpiece. Sharing a snippet of the song on their Instagram, they captioned it: “Alia Bhatt performing ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ (vocals by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film ‘Kalank’.” They didn’t stop there, also giving props to the film’s director Abhishek Varman, composer Pritam Chakraborty, lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha.
