Announced today (October 18), Dharma Movies just dropped the big news on their official Instagram page. Mark your calendars because the untitled film is landing in theaters on March 14, 2025. The movie dives deep into the riveting story of one man’s fight for justice. It’s based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire – One Man’s Fight for the Truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, this film promises to take us back in time, with Akshay leading the charge, joined by Madhavan and Ananya in key roles.
The Plot That Packs a Punch
A little birdie tells us that Akshay Kumar is about to take on a role that’s close to his heart and everyone at Dharma Productions feels the same way. In the film, Akshay will portray C Sankaran Nair, the man who took on the British Empire to bring the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre to light. The movie will recreate the intensity of one of the longest-running legal battles in history, and from what we hear, the post-production is in full swing. The filmmakers are sparing no expense to resurrect the vibe of old-school India and London for this one.
