The change came about three months after they opened Terminal A, which is also called the Midfield Terminal. The UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, decided to rename the airport to honor the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a highly respected leader in the country’s history.
