Aamir Khan Wraps Up Sitaare Zameen Par Shoot, Film Heads Into Final Phase – Details Inside

It’s been far too long since Aamir Khan graced the silver screen, and let’s face it, Bollywood hasn’t been the same without him. But, the wait is almost over! Aamir’s upcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, has officially wrapped up shooting and is now deep into post-production. And if history is anything to go by, when Aamir Khan hits the screen, hearts are going to melt, and minds will be blown.

Update on Aamir Khan Starrer Sitaare Zameen Par

Sources close to the production spilled the beans to Midday, revealing that the final shoot day was nothing short of an all-out marathon. “It was a day-long shoot that started at 2 pm and went on till night. Aamir wanted to make sure that the film was wrapped up on Sunday. With the shoot done, Sitaare Zameen Par has now reached the finish line. Aamir and Prasanna will now shift their focus to post-production, which will include extensive editing, visual effects, and sound design,” shared an insider. The perfectionist is already diving headfirst into post-production. Editing, VFX, sound design – Aamir and director RS Prasanna are pulling out all the stops to ensure this movie sparkles as brightly as its title.

What’s Sitaare Zameen Par All About?

Think Taare Zameen Par, but with a sporty, emotional twist! This one’s being touted as a spiritual sequel to Aamir’s 2007 masterpiece. Inspired by the Spanish sports comedy Campeones (2018), the film explores themes of triumph and inclusion. Aamir teams up with Genelia Deshmukh and Taare Zameen Par alum Darsheel Safary. If that doesn’t scream nostalgia and excitement, we don’t know what does!

When Can You Watch It?

Sitaare Zameen Par is eyeing a Summer 2025 release. But before it hits theaters, Aamir plans to fine-tune the film with focus-group screenings in February.

What’s Next For Aamir?

Aamir recently confirmed he’s producing Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol. Then there’s Ek Din, featuring Aamir’s son Junaid Khan alongside the talented Sai Pallavi, which he’s directing himself.
