Aamir Khan to Step Into the Shoes of Kishore Kumar? Biopic Discussions Ongoing – report

Bollywood’s very own Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, seems to be gearing up for a legendary role! He has done everything, from gut-wrenching drama to laugh-out-loud comedy. He’s now in discussions to bring the life of none other than Kishore Kumar to the big screen. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Kishore Kumar was not just a singer, he was the ultimate showman. He was an actor, lyricist, composer, and an absolute powerhouse who gave Indian music some of its most unforgettable melodies.

Aamir Khan to Lead Kishore Kumar Biopic?

Rumour has it that Aamir Khan is in serious talks to star in Anurag Basu’s much-anticipated biopic. Originally, buzz suggested Ranbir Kapoor was set to take on the iconic role, but now all eyes are on Aamir. It seems the Lagaan star is already charmed by Basu’s vision for the film. According to sources, Aamir’s admiration for Kishore Kumar and his fascination with the unique storytelling approach has kept him engaged in multiple rounds of discussion with Basu. Could this be the perfect blend of a cinematic genius portraying a musical genius? We think so!

According to Pinkvilla, a source quote, “The Kishore Kumar biopic is a subject close to the heart of Anurag Basu and producer Bhushan Kumar, and they are looking to bring it in the best possible way. Aamir Khan is also a big admirer of Kishore Kumar and loved the vision that Basu has. The filmmaker has treated it very differently, and that’s what has fascinated Aamir the most,”

On the work front, Aamir’s got fans buzzing with his upcoming project, Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna. The film, starring Aamir alongside Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary, promises to be a heartwarming ride. Aamir spilled some deets about the film, revealing that while it will entertain and make you laugh. It also carries a thoughtful theme, just like Taare Zameen Par. “We all have flaws, but we also have something special,” he said, setting the stage for what’s bound to be another memorable performance.

Aamir has a buffet of films lined up for him, six to be exact, ranging from biopics to sequels and even comedies. Scripts for projects like the Kishore Kumar biopic, a film on Ujjwal Nikam, and Rajkumar Santoshi’s next comedy are already locked in. Ghajini 2, a collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, and a movie with Zoya Akhtar are also in the works. Aamir is expected to choose his next project by the end of the year, with three out of these six films making the final cut.

As for Anurag Basu, he’s currently busy filming a romantic drama featuring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri, which is slated to wrap up by April 2025.
