The wait is finally over, and students across the UAE are thrilled as their A-level results have been announced. This year, students have achieved remarkable results, and they’re now looking forward to what lies ahead. In this article, we’ll explore some of the top performances and the students’ plans as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.
Exceptional Results Across UAE Schools
GEMS Education, one of the UAE’s largest school groups, has seen incredible success this year. A total of 1,883 students from 22 GEMS schools in the UAE and Qatar took 5,191 A-level exams, marking the highest number of exams in the group’s history. The results are impressive: 26% of the exams earned A* to A grades, and 52% received A* to B grades. These results show the strong academic foundation provided by the schools and the dedication of the students.
Personal Success Stories
Take Aryan Saboo, a student from GEMS Cambridge International School, Dubai. Aryan achieved six A-levels, with half being A* grades and the other half As. Interestingly, Aryan almost missed out on checking his results because he forgot his login details back home. But when his school counselor called to share the good news, it was a moment of pure joy for Aryan and his family.
Aryan shared his secret to success: “I just loved the subjects I chose, which made it easier to stay motivated. Even with the workload, I found time for extracurriculars like skateboarding and playing guitar. Balancing my interests with studies kept me energized.” Now, Aryan is all set to head to Georgia Tech in the USA to pursue a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Strong Support from Schools
Aryan’s success is part of a larger story of excellence in UAE schools. At Jumeirah College Dubai, 14% of A-level students earned A* grades, and 80% received A* to B grades. The Winchester School – Jebel Ali also had strong results, with 33% of students achieving A* to A grades, and 60% securing A* to B grades.
Nicholas Brain, Principal of Jumeirah College, praised the students, saying, “These results are a testament to the hard work of our students and the support they’ve received. It’s not just about grades; it’s about developing critical skills and a passion for learning.”
Looking Ahead to University
Now that the results are out, many students are preparing for the next step: university. They’re excited about the opportunities ahead and ready to dive deeper into their chosen fields of study. Dr. Saima Rana, Deputy CEO of GEMS Education, summed it up well: “These results show what can be achieved when students, parents, and educators work together. We’re excited to see how these students will continue to shine and shape their futures.”
The 2024 A-level results in the UAE have been outstanding, with students achieving high marks and setting their sights on bright futures. As they prepare for university and beyond, these students are not just celebrating their grades—they’re looking forward to making their mark on the world.
