Global Village Dubai, the emirate’s flagship destination for family-friendly culture, shopping, and entertainment, concluded its 29th season on a historic high note, attracting a record 10.5 million visitors. The turnout marks a significant milestone, surpassing last year’s 10 million figure and reaffirming Global Village’s status as a top-tier global attraction.
With the 30th edition now on the horizon, Season 29 will be remembered for pushing boundaries—not only in terms of attendance but also in scale, diversity, and immersive guest experiences.
A season of superlatives
Season 29 of Global Village Dubai was unlike any before it. The destination, operated by Dubai Holding Entertainment, featured a wider range of cultural offerings, entertainment acts, and food experiences than ever before. More than 90 cultures were represented across 30 country pavilions, celebrating diversity through traditional crafts, cuisines, and live demonstrations.
Visitors also had access to over 3,500 shopping outlets, 200 rides and attractions, and more than 250 food and beverage options, further solidifying Global Village’s reputation as a destination that offers something for everyone.
“Welcoming over 10.5 million guests this season reaffirms Global Village’s position as one of the emirate’s leading and most inclusive destinations,” said Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment. “While our scale is unmatched, it is our spirit of cultural connection and community that truly sets us apart.”
400+ performers, 40,000+ shows
One of the key highlights of this record-setting season was the entertainment lineup. Global Village hosted over 40,000 shows, the highest in its history, performed by more than 400 international artists and entertainers. From dazzling cultural dances to jaw-dropping acrobatics and live concerts, the entertainment offering elevated the visitor experience at every turn.
Daily performances transformed the venue into a global stage, showcasing acts that ranged from Latin American carnivals to South Asian folk music, and everything in between.
Fireworks, food, and family moments
As expected, weekends and public holidays witnessed capacity crowds, drawn not just by the lineup of shows but also by the spectacular fireworks displays, exclusive seasonal offers, and immersive themed zones. Whether it was indulging in globally inspired street food, exploring artisan markets, or enjoying adrenaline-pumping rides, families and tourists found endless reasons to return.
The introduction of newer attractions and tech-driven experiences also contributed to the season’s success, creating a blend of tradition and modernity that appealed to all age groups.
A reflection of Dubai’s cultural vision
Season 29’s success is a testament to Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for tourism and cultural exchange. By celebrating diversity through an inclusive platform like Global Village, the city continues to position itself at the intersection of entertainment, innovation, and multiculturalism.
The park not only drew visitors from across the UAE, but also welcomed tourists from the GCC, Europe, Asia, and beyond, cementing its place on the global map of must-visit destinations.
Looking ahead to Season 30
With the curtains now closed on Season 29, anticipation is already building for Season 30, which promises to be a landmark celebration. According to Global Village officials, next season will introduce innovative guest experiences, expanded entertainment, and even more opportunities for cultural discovery.
Details regarding reopening dates for the 2025–2026 season are expected to be announced later this year, but expectations are high that the 30th edition will raise the bar once again.
A legacy of connection and celebration
In just under three decades, Global Village Dubai has grown from a modest cultural fair into one of the world’s largest open-air entertainment and shopping destinations. The record-setting achievements of Season 29 not only reflect operational excellence and creative programming but also underscore the growing appetite for meaningful, multicultural experiences in the UAE.
As Dubai continues to evolve as a tourism capital, Global Village stands as a glowing symbol of its commitment to unity, inclusivity, and world-class hospitality.
