Myth 1: Dubai Is Conservative & There’s A Strict Dress Code

As an outsider, people think that everyone in Dubai lives in the high-end Downtown and Jumeirah area; however, that’s not the case. Not everyone in Dubai owns a swanky sports car; in fact majority of the population use Dubai metro and other local transportation. So this one of the myths about Dubai that is false, since the emirate is home to everyone and not only the richie rich.
Myth 3: Alcohol Is Banned In Dubai
UAE is a Muslim country; however, none of its emirates have banned Alcohol. The same goes with Dubai, it is not a dry city, and liquor is served in various pubs, bars and restaurants across the emirate. Dubai has some of the fanciest cocktail offerings, but yes, everyone needs a license to sell it. Any pub or bar should have a license for selling alcohol, and you can also apply for a license to buy liquor legally in Dubai.
