5 Bollywood Divas Donning the Cop Uniform with Fierce Grace

Nothing can beat Bollywood’s genre of cop dramas! It has always captivated audiences with its thrilling stories. Whether it be Salman Khan or Ajay Devgn, viewers simply can’t get enough. And now, get ready to witness some of Bollywood’s leading ladies taking on the challenge of playing dynamic cop characters. There’s an exciting lineup of fierce women ready to make their mark and see them on-screen in a avatar like never before.

1) Tabu in ‘Bholaa’

It’s going to be all exciting seeing Tabu back as a cop after ‘Drishyam’ franchise and her recent release ‘Kuttey’. She is all set to play a cop in the upcoming movie ‘Bholaa,’ and her first look has already garnered immense love from fans. The sight of her in a commanding posture, holding a gun with black sunglasses, gives complete boss lady goals that has generated quite the buzz. With her killer look alongside co-star Ajay Devgn, it’s no surprise that everyone has their eyes on Tabu and her stunning appearance in the film. ‘Bholaa’ will be releasing soon on 30 March 2023.

2) Taapsee Pannu in ‘Woh ladki hai kahan?’

Known for her impeccable choice of scripts, Taapsee Pannu, acclaimed for her diverse roles, is set to dazzle audiences yet again as a fiery police officer in ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?’ starring opposite Pratik Gandhi. After a string of powerful and intense characters, this marks Taapsee’s first foray into the world of comedy, in the madcap comedy directed by Arshad Syed who is making his debut. The film follows an investigative comedy, where Taapsee embodies the role of a courageous cop, while Pratik portrays a chauvinistic youth whose paths collide with hers.

3) Sonakshi Sinha in ‘dahaad’

Sonakshi Sinha is set to make her streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video with Reema Kagti’s much-anticipated crime drama ‘Dahaad.’ Sonakshi takes on the role of a bold and daring police officer in the series, which is the first Indian show to be featured at the Berlinale and compete in the Berlinale Series Competition. Set in a small town in Rajasthan, the eight-part series follows sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati (played by Sonakshi) and her fellow officers from the local police station as they investigate a string of apparent suicides that may be the work of a serial killer. ‘Dahaad’ is a slow-burn crime drama, and promises to keep viewers hooked with its intriguing plot and impressive cast.

4) Mrunal Thakur in ‘Gumrah’

Mrunal Thakur is all set to showcase her skills as a cop in the upcoming thriller ‘Gumraah’ opposite Aditya Roy Kapur, and fans are excited to see her in this new avatar. The movie is a T-Series production and a remake of the 2019 Tamil film, Thadam. Directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar, it has been produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. Mrunal has completed shooting for the film, so audiences can expect to watch it soon.

5) Deepika Padukone in ‘Singham’ cop universe

The news of Deepika Padukone joining Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as Lady Singham has sent shockwaves through the internet. This groundbreaking announcement marks Deepika as the first-ever female cop in Shetty’s esteemed franchise, which includes the popular Singham, Suryavanshi, and Simmba series.
